Minky

Before we left for Maryland, Anneke and I headed over to Dongdaemun for a little fabric shopping.  I was hunting for minky, the super soft fabric that usually has a dot pattern.  I thought I’d make new blankets for the kids for the plane.  We found great success.  Minky there seems to be between 5,000 and 7,000 won per yard that is 60 inches wide.  In other words, it’s a steal.  Generally minky in the states runs between $10 and $20 per yard.  We did get any of the typical dot minky though.  We found a soft, navy blue, smooth minky for Pieter and minky with a rose pattern for Anneke (purple) and Eloise (hot pink).  I may have also gotten a light pink because … because, just because.  I need to go back earlier in the day and maybe not on a Saturday.  Vendors start closing up around noon on Saturday and I never seem to make it over there before then, which cuts down on my selection.

For the record, I hate iPhone photos.  It’s sure handy to be able to pull out the phone for a photo though!
